Lils Lils

Biography

Lils is an independent, alt-pop/r&b artist from the Bay area. Influenced by a multitude of artists and genres, pulling from each of those when writing songs, creating a unique blend that doesn’t live in one specific genre. Her music has been referred to as a “mesmerizing mix of… edgy pop, R&B, or even EDM” from Billboard and “a stunning combination of pop and R&B that few can pull off” via All Things GoLils loves working with artists from a variety of genres, such as Dillon Francis, Autograf and Twin Shadow, which she continues to do as a songwriter and vocalist, for the pure love of collaborating. She began her musical journey singing in a cappella groups, eventually finding herself on season 1 of a then unknown vocal competition show, The Voice. Being a contestant on the show made the young artist realize she needed to have her own voice, which is when she started writing. Solely drawing from her personal experiences, writing songs has become a form of therapy for Lils who pours her heart and soul into each and every line. Releasing her music completely on her own, Lils states, “I don’t do music for money or attention. I just want to connect with people and make them feel something.”
